Saturday Staffers Needed!
The Science Center needs paid staffers who can work from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. If you would like to help once or twice a month or be on call as a substitute, please call the Science Center. Duties consist mainly of greeting visitors and light office work. A science background is not necessary.

Sound Advice Needed!
We have two vintage oscilloscopes. They work, but we need some help in connecting microphones to display sound waves on the screen. If you can assist, please call the Science Center at 854-9825.

Grant Writing Volunteers Needed!
Do you have a flair for writing grants? Would you like to volunteer some time to join our team to help write or review grants for the Science Center? Contact the YSC at (626) 854-9825.

Albertson's Community Partner Program
Be sure to use your YSC Community Partners Card when you shop at Albertson's. The YSC receives a cash rebate of 2% from every purchase -- for the past quarter, Albertson's donated $236 to the YSC.

Community Partners cards were mailed to all parents in last year's summer program. Contact the Science Center if you want to have one — or if you want to give one to a friend.

Target Guest Cards Help the YSC
Apply for a Target Guest Credit Card at any Target store and designate the Youth Science Center to receive a 1% donation on every purchase. If you already have a card, call 1-800-316-6142 and sign up to have the Youth Science Center receive the donation.

Youth Science Center Needs Your Help!
We need YOUR support for the continued success of this nonprofit organization. Although Board members and committee members serve on a volunteer basis, we pay our summer teaching staff and many of the presenters for the weekend program. Your membership and class fees are used to buy and maintain high-quality teaching materials and equipment. We also need you to help spread the word about the YSC at PTA meetings and your schools. If you can hand out our newsletter, please phone the YSC at (626) 854-9825.

Alfie Needs A Bigger House!
Help! My name is Alfie, the Science Center's African pixie frog. I love to eat live mice! However, I'm getting too BIG for my aquarium.

Do you have a 20 or 25 gallon aquarium that I could use? I could really use a little extra room to do a few laps around the tank. Please call the Science Center at (626) 854-9825 if you have a tank to donate . Thanks and ribit!
