Crazy About Chemistry #77, 85 - Instr. Leann Lottie Legind. Make a chemistry set. Change gooey liquid into glue, discover "holes" in water. Find out the secret of bubble gum. All projects are fun and safe. Bring a shoe box on Monday.

Crime Lab #57, 69 - Instr. Andrea Brown. Test various powders, liquids and other substances for reactions to chemicals. Work with lifting of fingerprints, shoeprints and tire tracks. Investigate with paper chromatography and ink. Study hair and fibers to see differences /likenesses. Use many forensic science tools such as microscopes, hand lenses and fingerprinting lift kits. Help solve a crime in a mock crime scene. Observe "evidence at the scene".

Dinosaurs and Fossils #73 - Instr. Jana Fuentes. Create your own fossil while you learn the eras of the dinosaurs. Be a paleontologist for a day and dig for dinosaur eggs. We will create a dinosaur relief, and complete one art project.
Drip Drip Drop #99 - Instr. Maria Orozco. Amazing water...we couldn't live without it. Lets investigate water by making a water molecule, investigating the states of water, make a cloud in a jar, and learning about the water cycle.

Dr. Flubber's Wild and Fun Experiments #58, 64, 70, 75 - Instr. George Lightholder. Make aircraft that is 3 feet long, a density rainbow, styrofoam gliders, silly putty and flubber! Learn the science behind all the experiments.

Elbows Off The Table #56, 63 - Instr. Cricket Wantland. Spend a fun filled week with your elbows off the table. Explore a world of tradition and kindness. Polish your handshake, learn how to make introductions and the value of respect. Using the telephone, and of course manners at the table will also be covered in this Etiquette class. We will take a field trip to Marie Callendar's for a formal meal to finish our week and put our new skills to the test.

Develop a sense of properties and patterns. There will be given many hands-on activities to practice math concepts.

Flash Animation #106, 120 - Instr. Paul Burns. Create clip art in Fireworks and Flash. Use it with digital photos to create animations. See how your animations make a website more fun and dynamic. This is a double length class.

Fly, Fly, Away #19 - Instr. Patrice Stanzione. Investigate all the things that can fly. Make simple paper rockets and whirligigs. Create a hot Air Balloon as well as many other inventions of flight.

Fun with Wood #108, 115, 122 - Instr. Lyle Majeska. Learn to work with wood using hand tools - measure, cut, sand, nail and glue. Make wooden toys, puzzles and even a bird feeder or bug house.

Futuristic Fuels #130 - Instr. Paul Burns . Help make and test a fuel of the future. Work as a group to make a batch of biodiesel fuel; Experiment with different fuels of the future; Make and take home a miniature solar powered car.

Go for the Gold" Science Events #3 - Instr. Andrea Brown Investigate using critical thinking, mathematical skills, and process skills: Compete in some of the these events: Wright Stuff-design a glider, Music to my Ears, (making a musical instrument and playing it.) See what common items make a lens. Check out the flex cam and the new Eyeclops that allow the whole class to see microorganisms up close at the same time.

Jump Ahead Geometry # 107 - Instr. Robert Smith. Use a compass to work with plane figures. Make tetrahedral and geometric solids.

Junior Rocketeers. #26 - Instr. Judy Dominguez. Assemble, launch, recover and take home a "Pop Fly" model rocket. Robo City Techies #118 - Instr. Kim Bach. Create a city. Work in pairs to expand your robotics skills and knowledge. Explore, investigate and problem solve as we build simple traffic monitoring devices and vehicles. Student should have completed any other ROBO class or understand Lego Mindstorms.

Robo Park-techies #42, 87 - Instr: Kim Bach. Explore, investigate and problem solve as you work in pairs to build different amusement park rides with Lego's programmable RCX bricks. Build, write programs, download them to the RCX and then test them. This is a double length class ending at 11:45 a.m.

Robo-Tronics #134 - Instr. Lyle Majeska "Learn Electronics and assemble a robot car that will follow voice commands and avoid obstacles. Students will keep the kits to continue working on the activities at home."

Rocket Scientists. #10, 35 - Instr. Judy Dominguez. Assemble, launch, recover and take home a "Super Neon" model rocket that uses tubes and fins for guidance. The challenge is to achieve flight straight up. Time permitting; learn about how we went to the moon on the 40th anniversary of the historic 1969 mission and how we plan to return!

Your Amazing Body. #98 - Instr. La Verne Shaffer. Join us for a week of discovery as we look at your body from the inside out. We will learn about the systems within us; discover anatomy and learn how it all works together.

Yum Yum Fractions and then Some. #21 - Instr. Suzanne Mitchell. Recognize fractions of a whole and parts of a group (e.g., one-fourth of a pie, two-thirds of 15 balls).
